About Éva Hadházy
Photography, for me, is inseparable from memory, history, and time. I believe your wedding day is the first chapter of your shared life. I document it with a calm, intentional approach, capturing both the joyful highlights and the quiet, fleeting moments in between. These images become part of your family’s visual legacy, growing more treasured as the years go by.
I photograph with both digital and 35mm film, creating clear, timeless, true-to-colour images. My style is consistent, emotionally aware, and centered on people, family, and genuine connection. With a background in film photography and history, I see weddings as layered stories made up of gestures, interactions, and meaningful connections. On your wedding day, I work with quiet observation and thoughtful anticipation, capturing moments as they naturally unfold while guiding key shots when needed.
My couples are genuine and unique, yet all drawn to emotional depth, storytelling, and the layers of their wedding day. Since 2007, I’ve had the privilege of photographing weddings across Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean, and Europe. My European background, multilingualism, and cultural fluency allow me to work effortlessly with couples planning intimate or destination weddings abroad.
At the top of this page is a photograph from my great-great-grandparents’ wedding. Over a century old, it’s imperfect and grainy, yet deeply alive. It’s a reminder of why this work matters: weddings are part of history, and photographs preserve the emotions and stories that will be passed down.
