Blue heron gone fishing

One evening we drove up to Wakefield just for fun and as we were driving along the river there by the Wakefield Mill, I saw this blue heron in the water. I took my camera climbed down to the riverbank and was just observing the heron, who by the way knew I was there. He flew off a couple of times and I just followed her….I think he was hungrier than being worried about me 😉 and I was able to capture her diving for the fish. Then she showed off her trophy to me and flew away with the fish. I hope you like these photos.
